A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 512 W. JEFFERSON

Body

WHEREAS, the owner of this property desires to acquire certain real property owned by the City of Jonesboro on the Northwest Corner of Jefferson and Church Street.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: The City of Jonesboro shall deed to Keith Blackman or his designee that certain property located at the Northwest Corner of Church Street and Jefferson, more particularly described as Lot 2 and 3 of Block A of the original survey of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Section 2: That as consideration for said conveyance, the City of Jonesboro shall receive that certain real property located at 512 W. Jefferson Avenue, more particularly described as the West 100 feet of Lot 2 and the East 5 feet of Lot 3, Block 12 Flint's Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. In addition, to offset the value of the property, Keith Blackman shall pay the sum of forty seven thousand five hundred dollars ($47,500.00) to the City of Jonesboro.

Section 3:  That Mayor Harold Perrin and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to effectuate this transaction.
