A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTER FITNESS EQUIPMENT AS PRICED IN BID 2006:29

WHEREAS, there is a need to have fire fighter fitness equipment for the wellness and fitness program;
WHEREAS, bids for the purchase of the fitness equipment has been taken, with the low bid of $29,393.00 being received from Promaxima MFG. LTD. and
WHEREAS, the money for the said services has been obtained through a AFG 2005 Firefighter Grant and Act 833 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
The Mayor and/or Purchasing Agent are hereby authorized, based upon the need of the fitness equipment, to accept the bid from Promaxima MFG. LTD.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 18th day of April, 2006.
