AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1993 OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, TO ESTABLISH THE POSITION OF PERSONNEL DIRECTOR SEPARATE FROM THE CIVIL SERVICE AND TO REMOVE ALL APPROPRIATED FUNDS FOR THAT POSITION FROM THE CIVIL SERVICE BUDGET.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The 1993 operating budget for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as follows:
THAT, the position of (Personnel Director) Human Resources Department be removed form the Civil Service Department and budget and established as a separated department;
That all funds appropriated for the operation of the personnel director be removed from the civil service budget and placed in a separate budget for the department of "Human Resources".
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take full force and effect from the date of its passage and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January, 1993.
