AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR SALARY AND RELATED EXPENDITURES FOR A DIRECTOR'S POSITION OF THE EMERGENCY 911 DEPARTMENT AS RECOMMENDED BY THE E-911 SPECIAL COMMITTEE.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: The City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby appropriates $11,792.00 dollars to come from unappropriated sales tax for the position of director for the Emergency 911 department.
SECTION 2: The above expenditure shall be used for salary and related expenses for the position of Director for the Emergency 911 department.
SECTION 3: This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
