AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance No.954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows: (R-1) to (R-2) .5 acres on the North side of W. Matthews, west of Christian Creek.
From Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-2) of property described as follows: Part of the West ½ of the SW ¼, of Section 13, T14N, R3E, Craighead County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Begin at the SW Corner of Section 13; thence N 89°53’ E 652.2 feet to a point of beginning proper; thence N 01°01’ E 22.4 feet to the South line of Lots 21 & 22, Meadowbrook Subdivision; thence N 89°53’ W 99.4 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 0.50 Acres to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
