AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF FIXING THE AMOUNT OF THE ANNUAL SALARY OF THE JUDGE OF THE MUNICIPAL COURT OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: That, the salary of the Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas is hereby fixed at the sum of Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars, ($4,800.00) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments.

SECTION 2: That, all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3: It is found by the City Council that the cost of living has risen since the last time said salary was adjusted; that the public interest and good requires and increase in said salary immediately; that the efficient administration of justice requires that this ordinance should be immediately effective; and emergency is therefore hereby found and declared to exist, and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and passage, adoption, and publication.
