AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as the zoning ordinance for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended by changes in zoning classifications as follows:

 

From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

 

A part of lot 1-B of Home Federal Replat of Lot 1 of the Replat of Ranchette Acres to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas as shown by plat in Plat Cabinet B at page 81 in the office of Circuit Clerk   and Ex-Officio Recorder, Craighead County, Arkansas all being in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 14 North, Range 4 East and being more particularly described as follows:

 

Beginning at the Northeast corner of lot 1-B of Home Federal Replat of Lot 1of a Replat of Ranchette Acres; thence South 1º22'11"West 420.0 feet to the North right of way line of Ranchette Drive: thence North 89º59'00"West 105.39 feet along said right of way; thence North 0º56'09"East 419.92 feet to the North line of aforesaid; thence South 89º59'00"East 110.0 feet along said North line to the point of beginning proper, containing 1.04 acres more or less and being subject to all public and private roads  and easements.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of inappropriate zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
