RESOLUTION TO CONSTRUCT ACCESS STREETS AND PASSAGEWAYS TO THE ARKANSAS SERVICE CENTER

WHEREAS, federal agencies have arrange additional contribution of funds to the Arkansas Services Center to substitute for the $260,000.00 heretofore allocated by the City of Jonesboro, from the proceeds of bond issues for construction;
WHEREAS, such additional allotment is accompanied by request and possible requirement by the agencies that access roads and streets be provided and such are deemed to be necessary to the full beneficial use of the Center and may cost the approximate amount to the City’s original agreement to contribute.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Mayor with approval of the Street Committee of the City Council be and they are hereby authorized and directed to accomplish the construction of access streets and passageways to Arkansas Service Center, which in their judgment shall be required or advisable after conferring with representatives of state and federal agencies and either by contract or construction by City personnel and equipment or combination of both.
