A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT CRAIGHEAD FOREST PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Craighead Forest Park located at    4910 South Culberhouse Road.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro received appropriations from the 2003 State Legislative Session for the construction of playground equipment at Craighead Forest Park Access #3.

WHEREAS, State Senator Jerry Bookout and Representative Paul Bookout secured the money for Craighead Forest Park.

WHEREAS, Request For Proposals were sent out and the bidder selected was Landscape Structures with a bid of $109,999.27.

WHEREAS, the funds for the playground construction project shall come from restricted funds in the 2005 budget line item 07-000-0500-12 (Restricted Funds: State of Arkansas Parks Improvements).

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $109,999.27 from Landscape Structures for the construction of a playground at Craighead Forest Park Access #3.

SECTION 3: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
