PETITION TO VACATE AND CLOSE THAT PORTION OF OLIVER STREET WEST OF LEROY STREET AND EAST OF DUDLEY STREET

WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Clerk for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, on the 31^st day of July, 2008, requesting that the Jonesboro City Council vacate and abandon the following street:  

That portion of Oliver Street West of Leroy Street up and to a point forty (40) feet West of the Southwest Corner of Block "F" of Dudley's Subdivision, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that

SECTION 1: the hearing on said petition of Nettleton School District shall be held prior to the regular meeting of the Jonesboro, Arkansas, City Council at 6:00 p.m. on August 19, 2008, at 900 West Monroe Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

SECTION 2: the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in the Jonesboro Sun, a newspaper published and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
