AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan   Area Planning Commission (RZ91-1) by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

 

From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:

 

The south 660' of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 33, T14N, R4E, containing 20 acres, more of less, AND the South 660' of that part of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 33, T14N, R4E, lying west of the right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railway Company, containing 4.034 acres, more or less, and containing in the aggregate 24.034 acres, more or less, and being subject  to  all  existing  public  and  private roads  and easements  and subject to reservation of undivided one-half of all oil, gas, coal, and other minerals in, upon and under the above lands, reserved by the Federal Land Bank of St.  Louis in deed recorded in Deed Record 92,   Page 226 at Jonesboro, Arkansas.   

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
