AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE IN ZONING CLASSIFICATION

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance no.954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by changing the zoning classification as follows: (Constance Stuck, Genevieve Gray, Dorothy Stuck, Margaret Frier, and Sally Sewell, East of Howard Street on Johnson - David Walker)
From industrial (I-1) to commercial (C-3) of the following described real property lying in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, and to-wit:
Rezone Lots 9, 10, and 11 in Block A of Stuck and Stuck Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the proper use of the tract of land described above is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
