RESOLUTION TO ENSURE THE MINI-PARKS IN THE JONESBORO INDUSTRIAL PARK ARE USED FOR THE PURPOSES INTENDED

WHEREAS, the Jonesboro City Council has created two “mini-parks” in Jonesboro Industrial Park for small industries, and the purpose is to encourage the growth and development of small industrial firms.
WHEREAS, the land sold to firms in the “mini-park” is intended for industrial use only, and facilities such as retail businesses and warehouses are prohibited.
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Jonesboro City Council to insure that the “mini-parks” are used for the purposes intended.
BE IT RESOLVED that land sold in the “mini-park” must be used for industrial purposes, and lands sold to individuals and firms in the ‘mini-parks” must only be used for those purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Jonesboro will refund full purchase price to any purchaser of lands in the “mini-park” that is not developed industrially within three years of the date of purchase and that raw, undeveloped lands cannot be resold by the original purchaser but must be returned to the city, if the original purpose of purchase is not carried forward.
