AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE 2006 ANNUAL BUDGET AND THE PAY PLAN FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ADD THE POSITION OF ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 3600 adopted the 2006 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro; and
WHEREAS, Resolution Number 2004:02 adopted the City Pay Plan, and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the position of Electronic Technician be added to the Police Department:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The 2006 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro is amended by the addition of one Electronic Technician, Grade 14, Step 3, in the Police Department as follows, such amounts to be funded by existing appropriations within the specified line-item accounts.

SECTION 2: The City Pay Plan is amended to include the position of Electronic Technician, Grade 14, Step 3, in the Police Department.
SECTION 3: For the financial and operational continuity of the City of Jonesboro it is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
