July 11, 1974
The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met in regular session on Thursday, July 11, 1974 in the Court Room at City Hall.
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Ralph Morrison.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Morrison, Adams, Haggenmacher, Cooper, Matthews, and Smith.
OTHERS PRESENT: Joe Tomlinson, Warren Dupwe, Gary Smith, and Charles Johnson.
Item #1. David Walker requests a final approval of a replat of the south 220.0 feet of Lot 16 of Cobb and Lee Survey of the northwest quarter of Section 21, Township 14 North, Range 4 East into Lot 1 and Lots 2 with remaining portion of property remaining as Lot 16. A motion was made by Mr. Cooper and seconded by Mr. Adams to APPROVE the request subject to the following provision being met, that a 41’ right of way from the center line of Nettleton Avenue be provided, also that the lots be designated as lots A, B, C and D of Block 16, also that lots A and B be completely in C-3 zoning.
Item #2. FBNI/ACORN request time to discuss a parcel of property in the Fairview Addition concerning a park or recreational facility. Melba Lee, spokesman for FBNI/ACORN presented a petition and affidavits to indicate the support of the residents in the Fairview Area to preserve an alleged park. A statement was read by Mrs. Lee and a general discussion follows. No vote was taken.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
