RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING VACATING AND ABANDONING HALTOM STREET LOCATED BETWEEN RICHMOND AVENUE AND STEELE AVENUE TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed by Eugene Sloan, sole and only owner of the real property abutting a certain street between Richmond Avenue and Steele Avenue described as follow:
Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot 12 of Sloan's Subdivision of Block A of Sloan's Addition to the City of Jonesboro; thence east to the Southwest Corner of Lot 13; thence North to the Northwest Corner of Lot 17; thence West to the Northeast Corner of Lot 8; thence South to the Southeast Corner of Lot 12, being a street 60 feet East and West and 268.4 feet North and South, lying between Richmond Avenue and Steele Avenue in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city clerk for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas give notice by publication once a week for two weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County, advising the property owners affected that on the 19th day of October, 1959, the Council will hear the said petition and determine whether such property shall be abandoned as a street and whether all abutting property owners and other persons directly interested have consented to such abandonment.
