AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:     
 
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
 
Residential (R-1) to Industrial I-1 the following described property:
 
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
 
Part of the SE 3 of the NE 3 of Section 33, T14N-R4E, Craighead County more particularly described as follows: Begin at the NE corner of the SE 3 of the NE 3 of said Section 33; Thence S. 0°0'17" E. 1330.5 feet to the SE corner of the SE 3 of the NE 3 section 33; Thence S. 88°40'2" W. 451.24 feet to the east right of way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; Thence along said right of way N, 11°33'46" E. 301.8 feet; thence on a curve to the right (Radius 5698.68 Delta angle 10°59'11") a curve length of 1092.71 feet; Thence N. 88°8'30" E. 70.6 feet to the point of beginning, containing 8.76 acres and being subject to road right of way on the north and east sides.
 
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the city council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
