RESOLUTION DIRECTING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY

BE IT RESOLVED that under provisions of Ordinance No.1123 the City of Jonesboro purchase and issue capital notes for the following described property which will be used for right-of-way widening of Bridge Street.
The City is authorized to pay the sum of $8,400 for said property and in turn the owners of said property, R.E. Robertson, Jr. and Mildred Robertson Watson will donate to the City $2,400, making a total cost for said property of $6,000.
The North 156.7 feet of Lot 1 of Block “D” of Elder’s Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas, property owned by R.E. Robertson, Jr. and Mildred Robertson Watson.
Upon purchase being completed, the Mayor and City Clerk shall file with the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas, a certificate accurately describing the tract and acknowledging real estate lien or mortgage securing notes described in Ordinance 1123.
