A RESOLUTION TO AMEND A CONTRACT WITH NRS ENGINEERING FOR CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION OF THE TURTLE CREEK GREENWAY

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to finalize the design and begin construction on sections II and III of the Turtle Creek Greenway;

WHEREAS, due to an unknown construction date, the initial contract with NRS engineering did not include fees for construction inspection for sections II and III; 

WHEREAS, NRS Consulting Engineers is requesting $13,500 to perform the construction inspection for sections II and III on Greenway as described in the contract;

WHEREAS, funds for the contract shall come from the 2008 budget line item 05-100-0217-00.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro shall contract with NRS Consulting Engineers for $13,500 to perform construction inspection for on sections II and III on the Turtle Creek Greenway.  A copy of said contract is attached as “Exhibit A.”

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
