AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE O-EN-023-2010 TO CHANGE THE DUTIES OF THE TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT BOARD

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City to reinstate the Traffic Control Review Committee.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance 10:031 Section Six shall be amended to remove the duties of monitoring/recommending traffic control signage and signals from the duties of the Transportation Management Board.
SECTION 2: Due to confusion resulting in delays in the placement of traffic control signage, signals, and other devices, an emergency is declared and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
