A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTATION TO CONTRACT WITH FTN ASSOCIATES, LTD FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has an obligation to close the City's Class IV landfill facility on Strawfloor Road, and has approved closure and landfill gas remediation plans.

WHEREAS, the deadline for closure of the Class IV landfill is October 1, 2007.

WHEREAS, FTN Associates, Ltd. has agreed to provide construction management services for installation of the landfill gas remediation system and final cover system for the City of Jonesboro Class IV landfill facility, at a cost not to exceed $217,000.00 without prior approval.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO ARKANSAS THAT:

1.      The Construction Management Services with FTN Associates, LTD is hereby approved.

2.      The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute all documentation for a contract with FTN Associates, LTD to provide Construction Management Services for the Jonesboro Class IV Landfill Facility located on Strawfloor Road in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
