AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6.08.07, DOGS RUNNING AT LARGE

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: No person owning, possessing or keeping a dog shall allow the same to run at large within the City of Jonesboro. Certified Police Canines being utilized by law enforcement personnel in a valid law enforcement function or incident are exempted from the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity of the City of Jonesboro, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
