AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 14 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
SECTION 1: That Title 14 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
 
From Agriculture (AG-1) to Residential (R-1) Single-Family Medium Density of property described as follows:  Part of the East ½ of the NW ¼ and a part of the West ½ of the NE ¼ all in Section 4, T13N-R3E, Craighead Co, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:  From the West ¼ corner of said Section 4; thence East 1304.0 feet; thence North 840.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence N 04º39'06" E 1327.75'; thence N 76º54'42"E 137.82'; thence N 60º24'42" E 66.35'; thence N 85º57'25" E 66.07'; thence N 79º14'26" E 40.86'; thence N 75º23'37'E 30.69'; thence N 82º27'32" E 37.62'; thence N 73º50'00" E 31.60'; thence S 81º43'08" E 30.66'; thence S 62º06'49" E 75.90'; thence S 67º20'46" E 183.22'; thence N 86º21'05" E 9.23'; thence S 02º28'09" W 1695.06'; thence West 195.00'; thence South 212.00'; thence West 173.00'; thence North 276.82'; thence West 160.47'; thence North 317.50'; thence S 89º59'08" W 177.23'; which is the point of beginning having an area of 27.22 acres.
 
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
