WHEREAS, The Employee Representative Committee has requested the policy be expanded to allow catastrophic leave to include illness of a parent, spouse or dependent child.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
 
Section 1: The Catastrophic Leave Bank Policy of the City of Jonesboro is amended to define sick leave as treatment or recovery of an illness or injury to a participating employees' parent, spouse or a dependent child as defined by IRS Publication 501 attached.
 
Section 2: This amendment shall be retroactive to January 1, 2012.
