AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE JONESBORO CITY CODE KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE ALLOWING FOR LOFT APARTMENTS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro that:

The City of Jonesboro desires to amend its conditional use table to allow loft apartments outside the downtown/fringe area and whereas,

The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has previously held a public hearing and recommended said amendment to the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to:

SECTION 1: Title 14 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended by allowing loft apartments as a conditional use in C (3) C (4), C(5) and I (1) Zoning classifications. 

SECTION 2: That the use table for Commercial and Industrial Districts be amended to reflect this change, further all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in context herewith are herewith appealed to the extent of said conflict.

NOW THEREFORE, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the   preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
