RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, AMENDING THE SMALL CITIES PROGRAM - CENTRAL NEIGHBORHOOD STRATEGY AREA

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is carrying out a variety of community improvement activities with funds received under the provisions of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1977, and as authorized by the City Council’s approval of full Applications for the purpose of securing such funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is desirous of approving a Local Amendment to its Second and Third Year Programs by revising certain cost estimates; and
WHEREAS, there has been prepared for the stated purpose an Amendment to the Small Cities Program - Central Neighborhood strategy Area - which is identified as a printed document consisting of 7 pages of narrative text, dated June 20, 1983, which Amendment was reviewed at this meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
(1) That Local Amendment No,1, dated June 20, 1983, as identified above, be and hereby is approved in all respects as an official revision to the City’s Small Cities Program within the Central Neighborhood strategy Area.
(2) That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to revise as appropriate all other Application forms and papers in order to effectuate this Amendment.
(3) That all other findings and determinations regarding the Second and Third Year Small Cities Program are hereby reaffirmed and made applicable to this resolution as if same were repeated herein in their entirety.
(4) That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
