BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Be Amended as Recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Part of the SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 35, T14N-R3E, more particularly described as follows: Commence at the intersection of the South Line of the SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of said Section 35, with the Westerly Right Of Way Line of State Highway # 49; thence N 19º57' E. along aforesaid Right Of Way Line 959.9 feet to the point of beginning; thence S. 89º53' W. 473.9 feet; thence N. 0º 43' W. 417.0 feet to the North Line of Said SE ¼ of SE ¼ thence N. 88º57' E. 633.8 feet to point of intersection with the Westerly Right Of Way of State Highway #49; thence S. 19º57' W. along said Right Of Way 454.3 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
