A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY - JONESBORO TO CONDUCT A VEGETATION MANAGEMENT PROJECT OF URBAN IN-STREAM ENVIRONMENTS THAT ARE IMPAIRED WITH EXCESS SEDIMENTS, NUTRIENTS, BACTERIA, AND TRACE METALS

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro wishes to enter into an agreement with Arkansas State University - Jonesboro to conduct a vegetation management project study; and,

WHEREAS, Arkansas State University - Jonesboro has determined the total cost of the vegetation management project to be $37,000; and,

WHEREAS, the funding for this project shall come from reallocated Capital Improvements monies

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1:  The City of Jonesboro shall enter into an agreement with Arkansas State University - Jonesboro to conduct a vegetation management project study.

Section 2:  The total financial contribution shall come from reallocated Capital Improvements.

Section 3:  The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
