A.E. Scott called about “Shady Park” replat. In 1969 “Future Street” was moved from between Lots 7 and 3 to between Lots 1 and 4 (4 being a part of the old 7). Shady Lane Street was laid out as a 50’ right of way and MAPC approved. The Future Street was also shown as 50’ right of way but MAPC required it to be a 60’ right of way. Somehow this never got changed and the plat was recorded.
Mr. Grisham has since sold a lot on this Future Street and is ready to close the deal on second lot when they discovered the plat had not been recorded. Both Lots 3 and 7 have been sold, both owners have been contacted and are reluctant to give right of way. The question before MAPC is:
1. Hold as is until next meeting.
2. Approve the 50’ right of way.
3. Require the Addition 5’ from lots to give a 60’.
Voting for Item #2 (To approve the 50’ right of way) were Glenn Lane, Joe Clay Young, Ralph King, Hulan Adams, Frank Falls, and Mabe Spurlock.
