AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2018, THE FLOOD PREVENTION ORDINANCE, BY ADOPTING THE OFFICIAL FLOOD INSURANCE STUDY DATED JANUARY 18, 1991, AND THE FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAP AND THE FLOOD BOUNDARY FLOODWAY MAP EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 27, 1991.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
*SECTIONS (E), (F), and (G) shall be omitted in their entirely and replaced with the following SECTIONS respectively:
 
SECTION 1: (E)   The City of Jonesboro does hereby adopt the Official Flood Insurance Study dated January 18, 1991 and the Flood Insurance Rate Map and the Flood Boundary-Floodway Map effective September 27, 1991.
 
SECTION 2: (F)   The City of Jonesboro does hereby adopt the official Flood Insurance Study, dated January 18, 1991, providing technical data pertaining to flood hazard areas within the City of Jonesboro attributing to the enforcement of the flood Damage Prevention Ordinance.
 
SECTION 3: (G)   The City of Jonesboro Does hereby adopts the Flood damage Prevention Ordinance dated March 16, 1987, consisting of Articles 1 through 5, including the Amendments to Article (3) below:
 
ARTICLE 3, SECTION (B):  Basis for establishing the areas of special flood hazard: the areas of special flood hazard identified by the flood insurance study dated January 18, 1991, also Flood Insurance Rate Map and the Flood Boundary Floodway Map effective September 27, 1991,   including any revisions thereto are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of this Ordinance.
 
SECTION 4: This Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety and emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and affect from and after the date of its adoption.
