A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS NAMING THE DOG JUMPING DOCK AT CRAIGHEAD FOREST PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro adopted resolution number 2005:120 to establish guidelines for naming public facilities;
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has contracted with Earl FM and the Canine Sports League to construct a dog jumping dock at Craighead Forest Park;
WHEREAS, the Earl FM and Canine Sports League have solicited Barton’s Lumber Company and Vetcare as sponsors to fund the construction of the dog jumping dock;
WHEREAS, the sponsors fit the naming criteria outlined in item “D” in resolution number 2005:120;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the official name for the dog jumping dock at Craighead Forest Park shall be the “Bartons-Vetcare Dog Dock”.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 16th, Day of January, 2006.
