RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ABANDONMENT OF A UTILITY EASEMENT AT 4133 CYPRESS KNOLL ROAD AS REQUESTED BY DONNIE AND FREDA KEMP

WHEREAS, Donnie Kemp and Freda Kemp have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the City abandon and vacate a utility easement in Ridge Run Subdivision which runs along the back of the properties described as follows:
LOT 9OF RIDGE RUN SUBDIVISION, PHASE VI, JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, AS SHOWN BY PLAT RECORDED IN PLAT CABINET "C" PAGE 191, SUBJECT TO BILL OF ASSURANCE RECORDED IN DEED RECORD 773, PAGE 773 AT JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, AND TO EASEMENTS AS SHOWN ON RECORDED PLAT.
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas: and
WHEREAS,Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing
NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the above mentioned utility easement and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on February 4, 2014, at 5:10 p.m. at the Municipal Center, 300 S. Church Street.
