A RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF ABANDONING A RIGHT OF WAY AT 212 E. WORD STREET KNOWN AS LIBERTY STREET ALLEYWAY AS REQUESTED BY RENNELL WOODS

Body

WHEREAS, Mr. Rennell Woods, has filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the City abandon and vacate a right of way located on the east side of lot 4A of the replat of part of Block 2 Meyers Addition, and extending north, a distance of 112.50 feet.

WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the above mentioned easement and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on September 15, 2009, at 6:20 o'clock p.m. at the Huntington Building, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
