AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

 

From Residential (R-2) to Industrial (I-1) the following described property:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

 

A part of Lots 1 and 2 of Block "A" of Earl Kiech Addition and a part of an alley that lies between the Earl Kiech Addition, and the Veon Kiech Addition, being more particularly described as follows:  From the Southwest Corner of Lot 2 of Block "A" of the Earl Kiech Addition to Jonesboro (formerly Nettleton), Arkansas, the Point of Beginning, thence East on the south line of Lots 2 and 1 of Block "A" of the Earl Kiech Addition and on the South line of said Lots 2 and 1 produced east 103 feet to a point on the west right of way of Arkansas State Highway Number 351, thence N 00°16' East 793 feet along said right of way to a point, thence N44°36' West 120.4 feet along said right of way to a point on the south right of way of Arkansas State Highway Number 18, thence S 01°11' West 164.9 feet along the west line of said Lot 2 to the Point of Beginning, containing some 0.3 acres, more or less.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
