BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:  

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No.954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:

 

From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) to the following described property.

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

 

DESCRIPTION

Part of Lot 1 of Wakefield Acres Subdivision to the City of Jonesboro and part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 13 North, Range 4 East both being in Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:  begin at the Southwest Corner of Lot 1 of Wakefield Acres Subdivision to the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas; thence North 39º50'00" East 113.68 feet; thence Northeasterly along a 13º28" curve to the left with a radius of 241.75 feet a distance of 56.82 feet; thence North 26º22'00" East 27.50 feet; thence South 63º38'00" East 148.00 feet; thence South 26º22'00" West 60.00 feet; thence South 63º38'00" East 2.00 feet; thence South 26º22'00" West 5.00 feet; thence South 63º38'00" East 23.09 feet; thence South 32º02'30" West 111.24 feet; thence South 68º50'00" West 48.40 feet; thence North 57º39'00" West 163.42 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.80 acres.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract of land described above in the Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
