RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT BIDS FROM RIVER CITY FOR AUTO LOADING TRUCKS FOR THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Sanitation Department is in need of six (6) 28 CY Auto Loading Trucks for the Sanitation Department, and
WHEREAS, bids were taken and it was determined that a Lease Purchase agreement with River City Hydraulics # 3 was the preferred bid due to a caterpillar engine rather than a Cummins engine; and
WHEREAS, the attached Lease/Purchase agreement over a two year period totals $1,126,554.00 with a buy back rate of $120,000 for each vehicle equaling $720,000; and
WHEREAS, the Sanitation Director and Mayor's Office recommended the Lease Purchase agreement with River City Hydraulics #3 to the Public Works Committee who referred the matter to the Finance Committee who approved the resolution being placed on the agenda to the full Jonesboro City Council.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to accept Bid No. 2006:05 from River City #3 for six (6) 28 CY Auto Loading Trucks, subject to legal review by the Jonesboro City Attorney.
