APPEAL HEARING
6:50 - An Appeal Hearing was conducted regarding the MAPC decision to allow placement of a mobile home on 5002 Richardson Road for Mr. and Mrs. Claude Daley. The Daleys were represented by Attorney Don Mixon, while Attorney Arlon Woodruff represented the opposition to the MAPC decision.

PUBLIC HEARING

7:15 p.m. - A public hearing was conducted regarding the vacating and abandonment of a portion Marshall Street. The petition was submitted by Max Dacus Jr.

City Council Minutes - July 6, 1992

The Jonesboro City Council met in regular session at 7:30 p.m. Present were the Mayor, City Clerk, City Attorney, and all the Aldermen with the exception of Mr. Evans who was unable to attend.

The minutes of the June 15, 1992, were approved as mailed by motion of Mr. Shelton, seconded by Mr. Nix. All voted aye.

The following ordinance was on the third reading:

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 11.20.07, REINSPECTIONS; NOTICE TO PUT IN SAFE CONDITION; EXISTING BUILDINGS, SUBSECTION ( b ) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO SPECIFY A TIME LIMIT FOR REQUIRING AN ELECTRICAL REINSPECTION OF A COMMERCIAL OR
INDUSTRIAL BUILDING; OTHER PURPOSES.

Fire Captain Clark recommended not to change the existing re-inspection law for safety reasons. Mr. Bridger moved, seconded by Mr. Shelton to amend the ordinance to exclude a “industrial buildings”. A roll call vote was taken with all Aldermen voting nay with the exception of Mr. Bridger who voted aye. Mr. Bridger moved seconded by Mr. Shelton for the adoption of the ordinance. A roll call vote was taken, resulting in an eleven (11) to one (1) vote against the motion. All Aldermen voted nay with the exception of Mr. Bridger.

The following ordinance was on the second reading:
