RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED ON ABERNATHY'S AIRPORT ROAD SECOND ADDITION AS REQUESTED BY MIKE WARDEN

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a petition with the City Clerk of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that abandoned portions of a twenty foot (20') utility easement running northeasterly across Lot 1 of Abernathy's Airport Road Second Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Statute Annotated 19-3814 requires two week public notice before the above utility easement can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owner to vacate and abandon the unimproved portion of said utility easement and this matter will be heard before the City Council on May 7, 2001 at 5:55 p.m. at City Council Chambers, 900 W. Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
