AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 14 THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO REZONE FROM R-1 TO C-3, CERTAIN PROPERTY (HIGHWAY 49 NORTH)

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has heard all persons desiring to be heard regarding the proposed rezoning of certain property generally located in SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 1, T14N-R4E, on Highway 49, North, and has made no recommendation to the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Title 14, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended by the change in zoning district classification, from R-1 Residential to C-3 Commercial, for the following described property:
Part of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 1, T14N-R4E, more partic- described as follows: Commence at the SE corner of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of said section 1 thence North 1°32'39" East 178.42 feet to a point on the North right of way of State Highway NO: 49; thence South 78°29'38" West along said right of way36.31 feet to the point of beginning; thence continue South 78°29'38" West 156.49 feet; thence North 1° 30' East 312.04 feet; thence South 87° 52' East 146.0 feet to the west right-of-way of a county road; thence South 0°9' West 275.28 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.01 acres, more or less.
