AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT TO BE CHARGED BY THE CITY SCAVENGER FOR CLEANING OUTDOOR CLOSETS OR PRIVIES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1. That hereafter the fee of the City Scavenger for cleaning outdoor toilet or privies shall be the sum of one dollar for each service.

SECTION 2. All ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, but it is not hereby intended to repeal any other regulation of outdoor toilets or privies or other sanitary regulations.

SECTION 3. Emergency. It being found that the immediate passage of this ordinance is necessary for the preservation and protection of the public peace, health and safety, because at the present rate the said privies cannot be efficiently cleaned, an emergency is therefore hereby declared and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, adoption and publication.
