CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - January 20, 1997
1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
2. Roll call by Clerk.
3. Approval of minutes from January 6, 1996 as provided.
4. City Attorney:
(A) 3rd reading- Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-3), located at 4300 Aggie Road. (David Abernathy)
(B) 1st reading - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-1) located on the north side of Gant, west of Kitchen Street.
(C) 1st reading - Ordinance to amend 14.08.02, known as the R-1 Residential Zoning District, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro to allow private schools.
5. Resolution setting a public hearing for the purpose of vacating a 5 foot utility easement at the north end of 304 Windover Road. (Jim Darnell)
6. Resolution naming judges, clerks, and alternate workers to serve in the election for City Water & Light Plant of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, on February 20, 1997.
7. Resolution increasing Residential Sanitation rates for curb side and rear door pick up.
8. Review the following appointments: Doyle Gillam and Bob Adams to the Board of Adjustment and Appeals, with both terms to expire January 2000.
9. Resolution to proceed with condemnation action of the following Jonesboro properties:
· 213 Pine Street
· 301, 303, and 305 North Madison Street
10. New Business by the Mayor
