RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS RE-NAMING THE EXISTING HAWORTH DRIVE TO NICE PAK ROAD

WHEREAS, Haworth Drive is an existing and completed street, and is open for public travel, but currently provides access to the existing Hayworth manufacturing facility and no other developed property; it is necessary to the citizens and residents, the Fire Department and emergency response personnel for safe access of said street, and that such street be identified by name, and;
WHEREAS, a request for consideration to re-name the said street to “Nice Pak Road” has been considered by the Public Works Council Committee with a unanimous recommendation to the City Council to approve such street naming, in accordance with Title 9 of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to promote and support economic growth development, and international presence/identification.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The street located at the most-southern terminus of Commerce Drive and approximately 540 +/- feet northeast of Burlington Northern Railroad, southwest of US Highway 63/I-555, be and is hereby re-named “Nice Pak Road”;
Section 2: The specific intention of this resolution is for the sole purpose of naming said street for identification purposes only,
