BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:   

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:

 

From R-1 to C-3 the following described property:

 

DESCRIPTION

 

TRACT A: Begin at the Northeast Corner of The Northeast 3, Northwest 3 of Section 32, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas; thence N90°00'00" W on the Section Line 84.50'; thence S01°41'00"E 19.00'; thence N90°00'00" - 160.00; thence S01°02'00"W - 13.80' to the South Right Of Way Line of Parker Road, the point of beginning proper; thence S01°02'00"W - 256.60'; thence N90°00'00"W 162.00'; thence N01°02'00"E - 241.31' to the South Right Of Way Line of Parker Road; thence N84°37'06"E along the South Right Of Way Line of Parker Road 162.99' to the point of beginning proper, containing 0.93 acres, more or less, subject to all Rights Of Way and easements of record.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
