AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:

 

From Commercial C-5 to Commercial C-3 the following described property:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

 

A part of the North Half of the south half of Section 25, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas being more particularly described as follows:

 

Begin at the south west corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of aforesaid Section 25; Thence N90°00'00" E - 312.96' to the point of beginning proper; Thence N0°00'00" E - 30.00'; Thence N49°42'05" E - 179.22'; Thence N90°00'00" E - 178.60'; Thence S01°55'00"W - 109.88' to the north right of way line of U.S. Hwy. No. 63 access road; Thence S80°51'41" W along said right of way line 102.34'; Thence S77°38'36" W along said right of way line 92.72'; Thence S90°00'00" W along said right of way line 120.00' to the point of beginning proper containing 0.78 acres more or less subject to all rights of way and easements of record.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the Tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
