RESOLUTION TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY CONCERNING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF CULVERT PIPE IN THE 1800 BLOCK OF BROADMOOR DRIVE

WHEREAS, it was found that the metal pipe culverts crossing the street in the 1800 block of Broadmoor Drive in Jonesboro, Arkansas has deteriorated to the extent that the street was deteriorating; and

WHEREAS, it was found that the deterioration of the metal pipe culvers was such to endanger the health and safety of the citizens of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, it was found that there was an immediate need to replace the deteriorating metal pipe culverts located in the 1800 block of Broadmoor Drive in Jonesboro, Arkansas;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that an emergency did exist and that due to said emergency the immediate purchase and installation of seventy feet (70’) of ninety-six inch (96”) reinforced concrete culvert pipe was necessary to protect the health and safety of the citizens of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
