ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, the following described lands are currently zoned “R-2” residential use classification:

TRACT 1 - Lot 7 of Block 2 of Broadaway Addition, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas; and

TRACT 2 - The West 72 feet of Lot 6 of Block 2 of Broadaway Addition, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas; and

TRACT 3 - Part of Lot 1 of Washington Addition, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas; and

TRACT 4 - Lot 3 of Washington Addition, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas; and

TRACT 5 - Lot 4 of Washington Addition, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas; and

TRACT 6 - Lot 5 of Washington Addition, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas.

WHEREAS, the above described lands are owned by the following owners:

Tract 1 Larry D. Williams
Tract 2 Larry D. Williams
Tract 3 Jonesboro Real Estate Holdings Company, Inc.
Tract 4 Jonesboro Real Estate Holdings Company, Inc.
Tract 5 St. Bernards Hospital, Inc.
Tract 6 Jonesboro Real Estate Holdings Company, Inc.

WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has recommended that said lands be rezoned to the C-1 commercial use classification; and

WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that all applicable laws of the State of Arkansas and of the City of Jonesboro have been complied with in presenting this ordinance to the City Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

SECTION 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, codified as Title 14 of the Jonesboro Municipal Code, should be, and it hereby is amended so that the lands hereinabove described are zoned as the “C-1” commercial use classification.

SECTION 2: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk is hereby directed to amend the official zoning district boundary map of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, insof...
