A RESOLUTION FOR THE MAYOR TO SIGN A NO-COST EXTENSION FOR PROJECT A-10663-15-CG (CRAIGHEAD FOREST PARK TRAILHEAD) OF THE FY 2015 50/50 MATCH GRANT.

WHEREAS, the City currently has the FY2015 50/50 Match Grant with the Arkansas Parks and Tourism Department of $35,000 for the Craighead Forest Park Trailhead that expires on May 1, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City had unforeseen events occurred that prohibited the completion of the project by the May 1, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City requested and was given initial approval for a no-cost extension of the project through December 31, 2016.
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The current grant deadline should be extended through December 31, 2016 for the completion of the Craighead Forest Park Trailhead Project.
SECTION 2: Mayor Harold Perrin and City Clerk Donna Jackson are authorized to execute all documents that are neccessary to effectuate this amended agreement.
