A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CONVEYANCE OF ONE LOT AND TWO HOUSES ON HIGHLAND DRIVE FROM THE TURTLE CREEK PARTNERS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains the 9 acre retention pond south of Highland Drive at Turtle Creek.

 

WHEREAS, Turtle Creek Partners, LLC conveyed the 9-acre retention pond to the City of Jonesboro for storm water retention and the development of a greenway, and;

 

WHEREAS, Turtle Creek Partners LLC is seeking to convey to the City of Jonesboro one lot and two houses adjoining the 9-acre retention pond along Highland Drive.  The property is further described as Lot 4 of Herndon Addition as shown by Plat of record in Deed Record 123, page 153 and being subject to easements as shown on the recorded plat and;

 

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro shall guarantee the land shall be used for public purposes and shall not be sold by the City of Jonesboro;

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

 

Section 1:                       The City of Jonesboro shall accept conveyance of one lot and two houses on Highland Drive from Turtle Creek Partners, LLC.

 

Section 2:                     The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the conveyance of this property.
