AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, by amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (RZ91-3) by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:
A part of the SE 1/4, BE 1/4 of Section 2, T13N, R3E, being more particularly described as follows: Begin at the northwest corner of the NE 1/4, NE 1/4 of Section 2, T13N, R3E: thence south on the 40 acre line 2052.90 feet to the centerline of a ditch, the pint of beginning proper; thence N37°19'E along said ditch centerline 74.7'; thence N57°40'E along said ditch centerline 102.3'; thence S22°44'E 26.0'; thence N89°04'E 108.1' to the westerly right-of-way of U.S. Highway No. 49; thence S 19°40' W along said right-of-way line 676.3' to the acre line; thence north on the 40 acre line 544.5' to the point of beginning proper, containing 1.60 acres, more or less, subject to all rights-of-way and easement of record.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and its passage and approval.
