WHEREAS, Due to several unforeseen events, federal funding is no longer available at this time for assistance in bringing this project to completion and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has made the decision to sell this property located in the rural area of Bono, in Craighead County.

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro that:

Sec. 1:  The City of Jonesboro would respectfully request that this land, or any part of the land in question not be offered for sale for a period of no less than ten (10) years from the current date, in order that the opportunity for federal funds or other funding options may become available in the future for this worthwhile project.
